Trump Dispatches Troops from California to Oregon After Court Rejects Deployment

Leader Donald Trump has authorized the redeployment of federal troops from the state of California to Portland, Oregon following a judicial order that denied his initial proposal to mobilize the National Guard in the city.
This move sidesteps a judge's decision that had prohibited the deployment of troops in Portland by instead using reserve soldiers who were earlier deployed in the California city after summer demonstrations in that area.
The state's Gov Newsom vowed to file a court case over the action, which he labeled a "shocking misuse of the statutes and executive power".
Portland is the newest US city – many of which are under Democratic leadership – targeted as part of the president's law and order initiative. He has stated that personnel are essential to establish calm amid ongoing unrest over border policies.
