Two Men Charged for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
